Ruxi (Roger Bonet) has joined IF Gnistan for the remainder of the 2026 Veikkausliiga season. The 31-year-old Spanish defender, comfortable at centre-back and at left-back, arrived as a free agent after his spell with Madura United in Indonesia and was presented by the Helsinki club in August.
It is a return to familiar ground. Ruxi already knows the Finnish top flight from previous spells with KTP, AC Oulu and FC Inter, and his career has also taken him to the United States, Mexico, Indonesia and Iceland. Gnistan's sporting director, Jarkko Jokiranta, described him as "an experienced, quality player" who would settle quickly, both tactically and in the dressing room.
He has done exactly that. Since his debut he has become a regular presence in the back line, and he played the full ninety minutes in the recent win over AC Oulu.
